And so we are into a new month, where the hell did August go? And to add insult to injury we have no more bank holidays until Christmas now, oh how will we ever cope.

Well Boom was so amazing and so kicking this week that it made the wires in my ear phones come out and I have had to send them to be repaired, how blastastic is that, so if you want an experience that will lift any mood, that will have you dancing like a fool down the street, then go to www.boomination.com and subscribe to the podcast.

Last Wednesday I did something that I don’t often do at all. I went to see a movie that I had already seen. I don’t get to go as often as I like so to go to the same one twice must mean its a good movie, and indeed it ism, obviously! Salt, its really entertaining so I would advise you go see it.

On Thursday P and I had arranged to meet a friend for the movies. Well when I say that I mean that I have a friend who has not met P so I had arranged we all meet up. Didn’t quite go as planned as P for once was on time, and so little miss Irony hit in and my friend got held up, still it gave P an excuse to sit for thirty minutes complaining and moaning that ‘if I were this late you would go mad and wouldn’t wait’ ‘oh so its okay for other people to be late but I cant’ you get the overall impression I am sure. But my friend did get there and P (as usual) was all sweetness and light, he is such a kind fellow, saves all the moaning for me and then seems like an angel to all around! Due tot he time we decided that a movie probably wasn’t the best course of action so instead (Frisbee, you know where this is going don’t you, fast forward time) we went to China Town and sat to eat dinner, well sunner really as was between dinner and supper time. But as ever was nice to sit and talk, even if the two of them ganged up on innocent little me and victimised me.

Have those of you who have dogs noticed that when you walk your dog it seems an open invitation to talk to other dog owners and vice versa? Its like just because you have a furry animal on a lead that translates to ‘I have a cuddly toy that actually walks therefore I am friendly so feel free to strike up a conversation’. We such an occasions (this really is going somewhere, if rather slowly) happened last week and this guy told me that there was this pub in Wapping where they allowed dogs and the food was really good, for people not dogs, though I am sure they wouldn’t say no either. So on Saturday (see told you it was going somewhere and finally we are there) P was off so we decided to try this place, and we got there at four fifteen, guess what, they don’t do food between for and five! Isn’t that just a kick in the delicate parts. Still we enjoyed sitting in the garden and having a drink…….

So we went back on Sunday, took our best friend as well, the two legged one as well as the four legged, and hurrah they were serving food, but the cheering didn’t last long, the Sunday menu isn’t nearly as appetising as the one on Saturday was. Still we made the best of it and ordered. Now it may just be that its not as good on a Sunday as other days but the food really was nothing special at all, in fact I didn’t enjoy mine much. Even Milo, who will eat shit if you add sugar, wasn’t that fussed about it. So I am guessing we need to try it on a day other than Sunday before we completely write it off.

Before going to the disappointing bar we had gone to the movies, well not Milo as for some stupid reason they don’t allow dogs in, so they wont have a trained animal who will sit and be quiet when told but they allow unruly, disgusting, smelly and loud youths in, go figure! I know which I would prefer in the movies. Oh yes I digress (I really am beginning to sound far too much like Victor Meldrew) we went to see Grown Ups, which I was not over enthusiastic about but it turned out to be rather amusing, it does of course have the usual crappy American sentimental parts ‘oh we all learned a lesson’ ‘oh family life is better than a life of luxury’ (yea right). But on the whole it is pretty good and fun.

Monday was bank Holiday so was an extra day off of work, hurrah, except P went to work! So I went to meet P after work. As usual he wanted to go to eat so we went to a sushi place just round from his work was rather nice, the food was good just not a great selection really. We decided to head for Canary Wharf. For ages I have wanted camera so I could have anew hobby and P finally agreed and so we went to Jessop’s (owww advertising to I get royalties?) and got a Nikon D90, and fabulous it is. It is really funky and amazing. I bet it takes such fantastic pictures, well once I figure out how to use it properly it will.

Been at the gym as usual this week, well I have been once, I just don’t seem to have the time lately, and I am getting fat to prove it, I must make more of an effort to go in future.

See you next week? Hope so as I do miss you.

Well bless my soul I am actually on time with this weeks entry, mind you heed the warning it will be quite short this week as took it a but easier last week, was having terrible trouble (mainly from P getting annoyed that I was out all the time).

Another reason I was having a quiet week was to catch up on BOOM! there were three podcasts last week, so we were treated to an extra dose of chair dancing and looking like fools as we dance along the street mouthing words to the cool songs that Frisbee played. Though there is still the Face book obsession on BOOM!. But it was fantastical anyway, even if I still don’t get enough mentions.

Last Thursday evening I went and saw Expendables, what a load of rubbish that movie is. Admittedly you should expect it to not be that great when a bunch of over sixty year old men pretend to be soldiers and take on a mini army, and win. But to call it corny and predictable and that the script makes a porn movie script look like Shakespeare would be an insult to anyone’s intelligence. I would advise going to watch the commercials and leaving after they finish rather than sitting through the movie.

Saturday I was at the salon and as ever had a jolly good time. Since I have been looking for a job Errol has been amazing, even Tweeting asking for me. Tracy was her usual sexy vixen self, and Kim was there which was an added boon. Had my hair cut whilst was there and kept it short, though Errol has kept my fringe longer than last time, something about texturing and layering. but as ever it looks very nice and even better it goes into style easily in the morning.

Sunday P and I relaxed and spent the day with Milo. It was really nice to just relax, sit about and go to the park and play with Milo. He of course loved all the attention and thought all his birthdays (well there have only been two) had come at once. Mummy and daddy both at his beck and call all day, and he made the most of it. Didn’t sit still for more than five minutes. And in the evening P cooked an amazing dinner to round off a nice day.

Monday I had the day off as had quite a few things to sort out. After had done that my best friend came round to pester me and we went to the aquarium shop to get some new fish for the tank, got three really nice ones as well, Milo decided they looked like they would prefer to swim around in his tummy but then on closer inspection changed his mind and presumed they were his new friend as he tried to lick the bag.

In the evening I met a friend to go to the movies. Cineworld now have the cinema in the O2 so we went there. The place is really nice, and the most spacious I have seen. The only problem I could see (though my friend found it an added extra) was that the sound system was really loud, it even drowned my voice out sop he couldn’t hear me talk. We saw Salt, and it is the complete opposite to Expendables. The acting is very good, the effects excellent and the plot has just enough twists to keep it entertaining and you watching. I thoroughly enjoyed it, as did my friend.

And today I have a atrocious hangover. And its all my friends fault. We met up for a drink yesterday evening and then our other friend joined us. Went to the Grace bar and its actually quite nice there, even though you have to wait a bit to get served, my friend being a northerner complained about the prices, but then he does that everywhere, so its par for the course. Had a very nice time catching up though and our other friend is pregnant (she is a woman) so couldn’t stay long, nor would she drink the brandy I bought her (me being me didn’t consider she wouldn’t be able to) but nor would Mr Bee drink his so I had to drink all three, ergo its his fault I got so drunk. We then headed round to China town to embarrass P (I called it going to see him) as he was out with two of his colleagues. Not being the most patient of souls we decided we didn’t want to queue to eat so Mr Bee and I staggered, oh I mean walked, next door to the other restaurant that P and I often go to. After that we went to Friendly Society for more drink, see not my fault that I got drunk at all but Mr Bee and P’s fault.

And that my fine friends is another dull week narrated to send you to the land of nod, will see you next week assuming you’re awake by then, have a great week.

Hello all, I know I am a day late in writing this but I have a very good reason for the tardiness. I have been our drinking the past two evenings so been feeling a little worse for wear, so unable to concentrate to write up this weeks entry, my sincerest apologies, kind of!

But on the plus side there have been 3 editions of the amazingly brilliant BOOM! this week, so that has kept me bobbing and chair dancing, with he Chuckles the Frisbee Bisbee in my ear. In fact BOOM! has helped me no end as without it I would probably have fallen asleep on the bus or tube and missed my stop, so massive thanks to the Boominator, as he has taken to calling himself!!!!

Last Thursday and Friday I went to the movies, am desperately trying to catch up on movies as not been for a while and so missed quite a few. How can I call myself a geek if don’t go to movies? So anyway went and say Knight and Day with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. I am not a big Tom Cruise fan and always found him corny but I have to admit that lately I have noticed that he is not quite as arrogant as he use to be and seems more genuine. But enough of my character analysis back to the movie, it is rather entertaining and amusing. I enjoyed it, and so did P. Cameron Diaz is always quite amusing so that added to the movies enjoyment factor.

Friday I saw Sorcerers Apprentice, okay stop laughing. I went as am a Nicholas Cage fan and think he is a rather underestimated actor. I like his style and find his acting rather enjoyable. Having said that the movie was as you would think, aimed mainly at the family audience, though it does have a high entertainment value if you just want to sit and watch something that you don’t have to think about too much.

Saturday morning I had to forgo any kind of a lie in as it was time for Milo to have his haircut and bath. So on the bus we got and headed to the groomers, he all happy and bouncy me half asleep. The happy and bouncy soon disappeared when he saw where we were going and he sat on the pavement out side the groomers and refused to move. I had to pick him up and carry him in, in case I was in any doubt that he wasn’t ecstatic at the prospect of his bath he decided to try and climb over my shoulder using his claws as leverage. After we got him in and he began his ritual of moaning and crying his way through the bath and hair cut, relentlessly whether anyone was paying attention to it or not. I really am rather surprised that he still isn’t use to having his hair cut, I think P must spoil him a little to much, it cant possibly be me. But the groomer did an excellent job and he looks lovely once again, Milo that is not the groomer.

We then, with my best friend, headed to Richmond as thought would go round the park with Milo for the day. What we hadn’t bargained or indeed planned for was the fact that its miles from the train station to the park at Richmond, and so we had to walk all the way through the town and up the steepest hill in the world to get to the park. But when we got there it was rather lovely as the park is really nice. Milo had a ball, I think it was a tennis ball, (do you get it, that was rather (how many times am I going to use the word in this entry?) funny). He loved it there, we went exploring and he got scared of the deer, not surprising really as he is scared of most things, having ran from a spider the evening before. Then he had a great surprise as Buzzy came to meet us, and lovely she looked to. But she came and brought the rain with her, so we had to head back, but learning from our lessons we got the bus on the way back and managed to keep relatively dry. But brief though it was I enjoyed seeing young Maiden Buzzy and she of course loved seeing me, oh and Milo!

Sunday P was off of work, so we had made plans to go to Southend for the day as he had never been and it would (we had thought) get Milo out for the day. It goes without saying (then why do I need to say it?) that our best friend came along. When we got there we looked around the shops for a bit first then headed for the beach, or what we thought was the beach, it turns out that dogs are not allowed on the beach so that ended our imaginings of playing and wearing him out on the beach, Milo too. We had a long walk up the promenade though which was very enjoyable and the walked back via some public gardens, at least I hope they are public ones. Milo made the most of it and ran round in circles as usual, he is demented I am sure of it. We then decided that we needed to eat some food so P as usual wanted KFC, he is addicted to it, some people inject drugs but P injects coated fried chicken. Dave and I went and got some fish and chips with mushy peas. It was a disaster, the peas were cold, who the hell sells cold mushy peas, WTF The chips were greasy so I wouldn’t eat them and the fish was too thin and not that nice. How can you go to the seaside and not have decent fish and chips, how forlorn I was after that disappointing escapade. Still we live and learn and now decided next time we will go somewhere more aimed at tourists and with a lesser quota of chavs as Southend really does seem to have more than its fair share.

The last two evenings I have ended up at Quinty, as I do tend to do when going out for a drink. On Tuesday I met up with a friend who I had not seen for a while as he has been away, in Croatia. In fact I hadn’t seen him since February. Me being ever the idiot was chatting away and whenever we chatted about his boyfriend he looked at me kind of weird. It turns out that he has a different boyfriend (the hussy) than he had when we last met so I was referring to the last one. I really should try and keep up with peoples lives and pay more attention when they talk, rather than half listening as am too engrossed Tweeting. We were supposed to meet for an hour but ended up leave quite a bit later, and a tad more drunk than anticipated. Still it was a jolly good evening. So good in fact that the next evening it took little persuasion from a work colleague to forego our planned session at the gym and instead go to Quinty for ‘one glass of wine’. When we got there a friend of mine was there and he forced cocktail upon me, I of course being a polite person didn’t have the heart to tell him no I couldn’t possibly drink more alcohol. So my colleague and I ended up having to endure the cocktails and two bottles of wine, a real hardship it was as well. So yet again I arrived home later then I had said and in a inebriated state, I thank heaven that I am blessed with an understanding and amazing husband in P, anyone else would have (some would say understandably) either kicked me out, or sulked and moaned for months on end.

And my friends that is it for another week, don’t forget to use Twitter an follow me, its www.twitter.com/mattb112 will see you there and if not then here next week.

Hello all, hope that your week is going fine and dandy.

I bounced all the way to work, bounced, skipped and looked a lunatic as I was chair dancing on the underground, you all know what’s coming right. Yes, I was listening to the amazing BOOM! podcast, the best in the west, well East, north and south as well actually, rock on Chuckles. Though I have to say he is deserting his old friends as all he talks about these days is bloody Facebook and his ‘friends’ on there, he has left people who known him for almost a decade behind. I am crestfallen.

And so onwards and upwards, well forwards really, with the week that was.

Last Wednesday was certainly fun. So I have a stalker, and guess who it is? I have wanted a stalker ever since Madonna had one, they are after all (after adopted babies) this seasons must have accessory. So I have my very own, and its Buzzy’s mum, how cool is that. She usually stalks me by MSN and stuff but last week she was down in London and so on a mission to stalk in person. Buzzy and P had arranged an evening anyway, Buzzy wanted to take her mum to see mama Mia, see the link there.

Anyway I met P and then we headed to Piccadilly where we were meting (rather appropriately) the Buzzy’s. When we got there I do admit, unusually for me, that it was great to finally meet buzzy Senior, a very lovely lady indeed, a pleasure to behold, a flower amongst weeds, a okay that’s enough before I vomit. We first of all headed off to eat, well what do you expect when P is around, always food first. So we went to Cafe TPT which is a great Chinese cafe, well the food is Chinese clearly the restaurant is an English building. It is somewhere that we go to regularly, and enjoy it there, its good food, and reasonably priced. I really should get advertising fees.

After eating we headed to the theatre as Buzzy had surprised her mum by getting tickets for Mama Mia, well in theory it was a surprise but when we got close it was apparent that Buzzy senior knew what was going on, it seemed that another Buzzy had let it slip. Anyways we got in, just in nick of time as Buzzy needed to go to toilet at last minute, maybe her batteries wee low! I have to say that the show was okay and enjoyable, but the singing wasn’t too good, the acting wasn’t either. The set was rather simple. It was as if with the popularity of the show they had become complacent and relying more on the good reputation rather than trying their best. The movie got away with not having great singers as the actors were excellent actors and very known names, the show didn’t have that to fall back on. But the sweeties in intermission were yummy!

Friday morning P took Milo to aunty Felicity for his bi monthly check up. It seems that Milo’s diet has worked as he is back to perfect weight. But its been hard work, he is use to having little treats quite a lot and bits of food we save for him, so as all this has been cut down as part of his diet he has let us know he is not altogether happy with the situation by coming over and sitting looking sad, climbing on your lap at meal times and staring at you and your food, wandering past the table and sniffing and generally making a nuisance when there is food around. He is also in perfect health so we are happy. He is having hair cut this weekend but not told him as he hates the shower before, will have to keep him away from PC until then as well so he doesn’t read this!!!!!!

You know I think Buzzy must have been born on the crux of something or other that gives you good luck and means you have a prosperous and very gifted life. Because she got to see us again on Friday. We had agreed to go to dinner at Quinty with not just her, not just her and Buzzy Senior (my stalker) but also Buzzy’s sister, so it was a Buzzy family meeting, like a swarm of bees it was. When we got there I had pre-booked (ever efficient and organised, how selfless I am) they put us ion a table that I felt was a little too small for give people. So I told the waitress, who told the manager who came and explained that they were fully booked so there were no other tables to move us to. Me not being deterred (or a moaning old git) politely (well by my usual rude standards) said that it was cramped and I had booked months ago so don’t see why we are at a table so small, he responded that its a table they use for five people, I replied was it five of snow whites friends! So we got moved to a lovely table and had a jolly good evening. I thoroughly enjoyed it (I have to say that as my stalker reads this and I don’t want to add hate mailing to her list of hobbies).

Saturday I was at the salon which was as absolutely lovely as it always is. Its always good to go there as whilst am working I chat with Tracy who is great and I get on with so well, she is perfect for the salon, and of course the lovely and adorable Errol. The business partner was there on Saturday so it was delight to see her, especially as she said I look like I have lost weight, she says all the right things, love her for life now. If you want your hair done you should go there as they do an amazing job, http://www.erroldouglas.com/contact.php

Monday after torture I went to the movies to see Inception, finally. I had been meaning to go for past couple of weeks but that P kept cancelling on me,. The film is really good, but you have to concentrate, its not one of those movies that is easy to follow, there are about four sub plots and its one you have to watch closely. but I really enjoyed it and the cast are amazing, go see it.

Torture still killing me, still hating it, still wishing I could just get liposuction but alas finances and the fact I am a complete wimp means that’s not possible so I continue to endure going to torture.

So until next week my lovely people I will wish you a very pleasant week, don’t forget to download BOOM! www.boomination.com and think of me, I will be thinking of you, well if I knew you were reading this I would.

I am sitting typing this and it may go all weird and squiffy as I am bouncing around, jigging and chair dancing as I have the fabulous BOOM! on my iPod as I type, amazing track, a version of Blue Monday, a classic reworked and played to the masses by Chuckles Frisbee. Awesome way to wake up if you ask me, you not subscribed go do it at iTunes, www.bohica2k.com or www.boomination.com

Last Wednesday saw me in Goodge Street meeting my old boss, from a few years ago. We had not caught up for quite some time so it was rather nice to see him again and catch up on all he has been up to, the bar we met in was rather nice, though he being a northerner couldn’t believe the prices, you can take the northerner out of the north and all that. We then decided to get something to eat and saw this Italian place that looked rather nice, unfortunately looking nice was where the pleasure ended as the food was not at all nice and we both ended up leaving half our meals, but at least I now know not to go there again so its a lesson learned. I managed to not get drunk as well which obviously means that I am going in the right direction on my ‘not making a twat of myself’ campaign.

Thursday I went to see the Alan Carr show again. This time I went with Buzzy, Hills from work and a friend Kyle, who always tries to look all sultry and thinks it looks cool, poor delusional boy. The shop was quite good, it had Alice Cooper on it who I found really nice and a genuine guy, far from his stage persona. David Walliams was on as well, he is always good, such a funny guy, but the Saturdays were on as well. What a bunch of air heads they are. But it was great to catch up with Buzzy as she must really miss seeing me.

Last week Buzzy must have been in her element and overjoyed as on Friday lunch time P & I met her to go for lunch, I had been sent a lunch menu offer for lunch at the MPW (that’s Marco Pierre White for you philistines) steakhouse restaurant in Kings Road. Buzzys work friend cam,e along too so all in all we fours had a rather nice time. The restaurant is lovely and the food was yummy. Buzzy copied me and we both had liver which was cooked so well and I really enjoyed it.

In the evening P and Dave (with me of course else I wouldn’t really be writing it here would I!!!!) went to the Prospect for our dinner so all in all it was quite a filling day, though we had to wait 50 minutes for our meals to come. By the end of the day I felt stuffed and even fatter than normal, like a hippopotamus, a pregnant one at that. But I had gone to torture earlier so I felt (in my own deluded way) that I had burned the calories off there so was able to eat dinner as well as lunch. Its amazing how little persuasion it took for me to fill my face when I am supposed to be on a diet.

Saturday I was up at 5.00, as it was the Race for Life, in Clapham. I had to go south of the river, at that time of the morning. It was in fact the journey from hell as TfL being the usual idiots that they are had planned (like anything is well planned with TfL) engineering works so that part of the Northern (why is it called Northern line when its in South London?) so I had to get off sat Stockwell and get a bus. Have you ever been to Stockwell? I have never seen so may Lidl carrier bags and flammable clothing in my life, but at least now I know where the assistants from Argos and McDonalds live. Then when I eventually managed the trek to Clapham Common (how apt) it started to rain, me being ever conscious of how I look had not packed a jacket so had to buy a hooded top, well at least it meant I blended in with the locals. There were two races on Saturday so it was quite a long day, by the time it had finished I got on the bus and when I got home I almost collapsed ion bed, exhausted I was.

On Monday I went for torture and after that had arranged to meet a friend for dinner, we had been trying to arrange it for ages but wit my jet set schedule and the fact that my social diary is rather packed (I wish) added to that he works evenings it had not happened. We went to the Ivy, which I had never been to before and I had a really nice time there, I must go again and take P as its lovely there. The food is nice and the service excellent. Usually you get celebrities going in there but alas there were none on Monday, well apart from me of course!!!

That you will be relived to hear, if you’re still awake, is it for this week so its good bye from me as I want to listen to BOOM in peace. Next week? hugs to you all.

Last Wednesday evening I went to the movies, to see Predators, I had really liked the original and liked the vs. Aliens ones so was looking forward to an entertaining movie. And was bitterly disappointed, its corny, predictable and stayed, not at all good. But that’s my humble opinion, you may enjoy it, if you’re bran dead and easily entertained.

Saturday saw my mum and step father descend upon us. As you will no doubt remember, especially as I am reminding you here, it was my best friends birthday last week, so Mum & Johnny had come to see him, as well as P, Milo and me of course!!!! Though I suspect in the order. It was of course fantastic to see them as I do enjoy the times that they visit. Johnny took P and I to Costco so as we could get all the things we wanted to and be able to get them home without the usual broken shoulders from the heavy bags. We then went to look at Best Buy (is that one or two words?) I wanted to look at the cameras and P wanted to look at the food processor. The staff discount scheme for CPW use to be really good but I don’t think much of the new one at all, although P did get his food processor, Johnny bought one as well. But it was an enjoyable afternoon I have to say, well I don’t have to but will do anyway.

In the evening we all, well apart from Milo who wouldn’t be allowed to come, jumped on the boat and headed to the O2 as Dave had decided he wanted to go to Gaucho for dinner. A jolly good choice it was as well, I have to say. The wine was rather nice, though I made a mess of the order, I originally didn’t look at the menu and ordered a bottle, it turned out to be rather too expensive so when the waiter came back P bravely (next to my wimp like self) said he had changed his mind and chose a different one. The food as always, was really nice and I had a lovely evening with people its great to be with, very nice end to the day it was.

Sunday morning was spent with Mum and Johnny which was nice, we sat and chatted and stuff after we had taken a chest of drawers from our flat to David’s as were giving to him. The rest of the day P and I just relaxed and chilled which was actually rather nice as not often I just sit and relax.

Monday lunch I met a friend for lunch at the restaurant (eating again, why do I put on weight???) at the Portrait Gallery. He was like 20 minutes late, terrible and tardy. But when we eventually sat down the view is breath taking its lovely (I must take P there as he would love it) and the service is great. They had a nice set menu and the food was really nice. I really would recommend the place, its delightful.

Was at the torture chamber for Spin on Monday evening, I had not done spin for a while (had been gym but taking it easy) as I had sprained my ankle the other week (was running down the stairs in my eagerness to get a new suit at work, I really suffer for fashion!) so it really killed me on Monday, but I have to say I hate to admit it but I do feel better for going, though not sure will feel the same way when go on Friday and half kill myself.

That my friends is for this week, my ramblings have come to a stop. See you next week xx

This week was a cut the red ribbon week, a momentous occasion to behold. Not only do we have the amazingly fabulous and jaw droppingly excellent BOOM! to listen to now we have http://boomination.com/ to read, how cool is that. Now if only Chuckles will mention my Twitter name on the show it will be better than perfect.

Oh and what have I been doing this week you shout?

Last Wednesday I went to Quinty (now there’s a surprise venue I don’t often go to!) with Buzzy. She had kindly done some research on a project for me so we had meant to go and go through that, and we did go through it but we kept digressing, okay I admit it she kept digressing. We did have rather a good timer though, drank a little wine, she drank like a fish the alcoholic woman, well she is Scottish and there were no buckets of whiskey on hand. I was disgusted at one point as she sat there and passed wind, fortunately it passed quite quickly but I didn’t dare light a match for a while. She clearly need a very hard and long shag. That or a peanut flavour fish cake to clear her system out.

Saturday I was at the salon, which I have to say has to be one of the best jobs I have ever had, its a pleasure to go there, Errol is great, the Salon Manager Tracy is equally great and I love the work there as well. Errol cut my hair and I usually have real problems as my styling skills are next to rubbish, in that they are worse than rubbish, but this latest cut is his best yet, he has excelled even his usual standards, am loving it. The day passed pretty quickly there but was good.

P was out when I got home so I did something that I really miss and don’t get to do as often as would like, I took Milo and just chilled in the Park. Well when I say chilled I mean as much as I can between watching where he is sticking his nose, playing ball with him as if I don’t he stands right next to me and whines (subtle he isn’t).

Sunday was the Hyde Park race for Life. P had been saying he was going to go to one with me for ages, so I never actually believed he would ever come. The main reason for this is because we have to get up at 05:30 in order to be there for 06:30, early mornings are not his best time! We cycled there and I was amazed that we were only 15 minutes late. There were over 12,000 woman on the run for this one so it was massive. I had never seen p work so hard, he really did make me proud as was working and not once complained, even though it was hot and he was having to move heavy crates etc around. We were then asked to be court marshals which he did, though whenever a cyclist needed to be asked to dismount he would get me to do it!!!! There is another one later in the year so lets see if he goes to that one as well. We finished in the early afternoon so were pretty exhausted by then as it really is hard work, but its hard work that is worth it as you feel like you are doing some good.

Yesterday it was our best friends 40th birthday, oh how old he is getting, though he is so moody and grumpy at times that you would think it was his 80th. He decided he wanted to go to Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant in canary Wharf, at 19:00. So I had to rush to get there from work, which isn’t easy on the bloody underground, oh how I hate the Tube, it is crowded, stuffy and too hot, you get off and its like you have been in a sauna, not at all comfortable. So anyway I did get there and it was a jolly nice evening, the food there is quite good and of course the company was excellent, as was the wine It was so coincidental as we were sitting there and this blonde girl was seated at the next table, it was a girl from work, how freaky is that!

So in the words at the end of the great BOOM! that’s all folks, same time and place next week? Okay then its a date.

I am afraid, though I think you will be delighted, that this is a rather short entry. All that I have done this week is to go to the movies. I saw new Twilight movie which I am loathed to confess is rather good, a lot better than the last one. Its quite a good story, well its the same story as ever, vampires want to kill the human girl so other vampires protect her. But the story runs a lot better in this one.

Been out to eat of course, now that will send shockwaves of surprise to you. Been to a Thai cafe, very yummy, the Prospect, lovely etc.

There have been a massive 4 podcasts of BOOM! Which is fantastic as I love the cast, and that Chuckles plays a great selection on there. One of the casts was for someone’s birthday, bloody liberty as I didn’t get one for my birthday.

I will try my best to do more this week so as I can regale you with my stories next week, until then have a splendid one. Hopefully will resume transmission next week…………….

Good day to you all lovely people, have you had a fine week? Mine has been good and bad, good when not at work bad when am So lets concentrate on the good ones shall we, the bad are just boring anyway.

Last Wednesday was the Motcomb Street party, that’s where the salon is. So I invited that Little P and Buzzy along. Seen Buzzy a couple of times this week so guess she will be on this entry a bit. I met her at Harvey nics where she was carrying this backpack the size of a house, she looked like a snail with it. She is only little, though like the Tardis little but fits a lot in, believe me I know as have been to Ann Summers with her, the kinky minx. Oh yes so we met at Harvey Nics and proceeded down the avenue to Motcomb Street, which was jam packed so we went straight into the salon, and bloody good choice it was too, as the stage was directly opposite, and there was an abundance of alcohol in the salon, lots of peanuts too which I tried to force feed to Buzzy so I could video her having a fit, wanted to You Tube it and get lots of hits. Little P then came along and joined us, almost didn’t get in as he was walking through the crowds towards the door when Errol said ‘who is that trying to get in’ He really should remember who people are. Buzzy decided to be dead boring and left early, leaving more nuts for me. So P & I chatted to people and had a really good time there.

Friday saw P and I back at the (fast forward Chuckles) Prospect of Whitby for dinner. As ever it was really nice and relaxing to just sit and chat with P, I do like the time we spend together so much as its so comfortable.

Saturday I was at the salon ion the morning which was cool as ever and rather enjoyable. It was London Pride so P and I were supposed to go to that so I left the salon early, but by the time P arrived in the West End (he was busy at home in the morning) he didn’t feel like going to Pride well that and the fact I had moaned and whined all morning about why can Milo go with us. So instead we went round the shops, he wanted to look at house ware places for towels etc and of course he wanted to look in clothes shops, so he dragged me round loads of shops just to end up buying one T Shirt!!!!! We then headed to James Street as wanted to go to Grand Bazaar which does amazing Turkish food, jolly nice it was too.

Sunday was race for Life time again, this time at Blackheath. So I was up at 05:30, yes in the morning not afternoon. I had decided to cycle there as its not too far from the flat, what I didn’t know was one side of the Greenwich foot tunnel had no lift service so had to carry bike up. Still I managed to get to the event are in good time. It was blazing hot and there were two races, one at 10:30 and one at 14:00 so it was most definitely a long day, and all of it was working and in the sun, so no time to eat or rest. I didn’t finish until 16:45 and was exhausted by that point, and still cycled home. But it was a really fun day as the atmosphere at the events is really good and its a great vibe going on. It really does make you feel a whole lot better that you’re giving up your time and, hopefully, doing some good. But when I got home I was almost dead, I went to have a bath, and nearly died from shock, I had got amazingly tanned due to being in the sun all day but the humiliation, it was a benidorm tan from where I had my T Shirt on all day, I now have to find a way to even it out a bit.

Yesterday evening I had the imponderable pleasure of meeting up with young Emma. We began by going to this bar called Adam and Eve which was rather pleasant, I liked it there, though it was full of people from Emma’s offices which she and her friend (a delightful lady called Jules, went to school with Tom Wisdom, the lucky cow) found unnerving for a while,. Then her friend went home and we headed to Quintessentially which as you all know I rather like and find very pleasant.

Boom has been amazing, well it always is but even more so last week, why you ask how can perfection be improved upon, easy Chuckles, the Frisbee Bisbee, has mentioned me that’s how, I am at last famous. Now a few more mentions wouldn’t go a miss. But seriously make sure you download the free podcast, its surreal how amazingly bopping and jigging it is.

Next week? Okay see you then…

Good day to you all, how are we doing this week?

Last Wednesday was very pleasant, well the after work bit, the at work bit was its usual tedious self. I met P at West India Quay (part of Canary Wharf for those that do not know where it is, but would like to) as we were going to go to the movies. We however were early so (and here is where Chuckles fast forwards) surprise, surprise we went to get something to eat. We went to a place called Noodle Street which is really nice, they do quite simple dishes but it taste good. They also have this amazing fruit juice, apple, mint and lime, its really tasty and refreshing. We then headed to the movies, we were seeing Get Him to the Greek, which I was not sure about, being of the opinion that Russell Brand was funny but it’s a bit worn now. I was very surprised as it is a really funny movie and very entertaining, though it has to be said that P Diddy (is that what he is calling himself these days?) completely stole the show and was the highlight. I would definitely say go see it if you fancy a laugh.

Last Friday I went for a quick drink at Quintessentially Soho, which I have taken to calling Qunity, no reason other than its easier to type and say, with my friend who works there, was quite fun as I like it there and they do the best chips ever, even P agrees that the chips are fantastic. I the headed East (doesn’t that sound so much more exotic than it actually is!) as was meeting P to go to movies again (last week I was desperately trying to catch up on movies, does it show?). We went to see Wild Target, which was rather amusing if a little, okay a lot, predictable, entertaining though and worth a look at.

Saturday morning saw me up and getting Milo ready as it was his day for the groomers as he needed his shower and hair cut, and his nails certainly needed cutting, my arms can testify to that. When we got there he was his usual self, refused to go in the salon, so I had to pick him up and carry him in, as he demonstrated that yes indeed his claws did need trimming. The groomer is excellent and did an amazing job he is also good with Milo as he was actually not leaping out of the shower as if acid was pouring on him, he just stood there, albeit shivering and whimpering as if he were taking a beating. He then did his usual of crying for the whole hour his hair was being cut, he really does make a meal out of it and any situation a drama, cant think where he gets that trait from!

P was working last Saturday so I decided to go see a movie, it’s a task for P to go as doesn’t like them as much as I do. So I went and saw the new Shrek movie in 3D. The 3D and effects are really good and nice to watch, but the movie was pretty boring, its run its course now I think and so it just isn’t anywhere near as good as the previous ones. It wasn’t funny, was predictable and you just sit there, well I did, waiting for something to happen, alas nothing does.

After the movie I had a text from a good friend asking if that Little P and I wanted to meet, at West India Quay, for a drink, which was quite handy as that’s where the cinema is. So off I went on the trek, across the road. It’s a couple that we were meeting, one of whom I had not seen for a very long time, it was rather good to catch up. We all had a good time, well I hope we all did, I did.

Sunday P and I decided that we were going to for a bike ride as it was so hot. When its hot Milo will not go out as he gets too hot with his fur coat on so just wants to sit on the bed with the fan, which he has assumed belongs to him and is there for his sole use. So we went to our best friends place as that is where p keeps his bike, don’t ask! I cycled there and P went on the DLR as we were leaving Milo with our best friend. I had to first inflate the tyres on his bike, he uses it so little that they were flat!!! We eventually headed off to Hyde Park, P likes it there. When we got there it was nice as we just chilled (I fell asleep at one point) we ate fruit salad that P had brought and nice bits, sunbathed and just watched the world go by. Isn’t it awful that we rarely get to just sit and relax. Its one of the main reasons that I hate London so much, its all so rushed and hurried. We cycled back as well, with P moaning about how hard it was and the saddle was hurting him. But in fairness he hadn’t cycled for a while so it cant have been easy. We have said we will cycle more often, which I hope we stick to.

In the evening we had to get everything from out of our bedroom and into the living room as we were having new wardrobes installed on the Monday. What a job that was, its incredible how much junk you build up isn’t it, we ended up throwing about 4 bin bags of things away. Milo was pacing back and forth (following the fan!!!) as every time we get the suitcase from off the wardrobe we are going away so he got it into his head that we were off on holiday (if only) and leaving him with our friend. So he was getting all anxious.

Monday was quite eventful. I had tickets to go and see the Phil Collins television show. I was going with Emma, Buzzy and the friend I hadn’t talked to for a while. The show was quite a disappointment as he didn’t do any of his hits, apart from two, didn’t sing In the Air (which was the one I wanted to hear) and his suit was too baggy and looked crumpled and worn. We also had to stand which didn’t help. On the plus side it was good to se Emma, even though she was hung-over. Great to see Buzzy, who used her bra as a handbag, talk about making a tit of yourself, thank the lord I didn’t need to use her BB!!!! She was her usual buzzing self which is always good, and looked lovely in a purple number (I swear it made her boobies look bigger).

Then when I got home, as if by magic, all the wardrobes, chest of drawers (so it was a night of chests) and bedside cabinet were up, its lovely to have wardrobes at last and have my suits, shirts and our clothes in proper places rather than hanging on racks. P had been an angel (yes I know as usual) and done most of the work before I got there, and as ever had done a brilliant job. Though I do wish that we had more time to spend together, because of our jobs and the fact we are busy, we rarely get to spend any real quality time together and it I so nice when I just get to relax and chill with him, he really is an exceptional person, the best guy I have ever known and lets be honest he deserves a medal, or five, for putting up with me, yet he never stops caring or thinking of how to make us happy. So my only wish would be to spend more time doing things together.

Boom was amazing this week, it was also Chuckles birthday, so that made it extra special, a extra special Boom for a extra special persons extra special birthday. Even if he doesn’t mention me enough on the show!!!!!

Until next week adios.
