Very Short Entry but Excellent BOOM! This Week
by Matt on Mar.10, 2010, under Blogs
And how are we all this week? Hope that life is treating you well and that you haven’t been too bored waiting for this weeks update!
I was listening to BOOM! on the way to work this morning, the journey flew by far too quickly as I wanted to listen to more when reached the office, but boy did I have a spring in my step listening to it, Chuckles excels himself again, go Chuckles. Don’t forget to all subscribe to it, free music, what more can you ask for.
Last Friday lunchtime I met with a friend that I had not seen for a while, for lunch. We went to the All Bar One in Leicester square and I was rather pleasantly surprised as UI had the salad and it was really tasty. Being on a diet (no comments Chuckles) which I have to do as am borderline obese at the moment, I need to eat salad and things like that and all too often the salads are boring and dull, but this one was tasty. Oh and it was good to see my friend as well. Though why people insist on meeting up and then asking all questions about phones I still am yet to fathom.
In the evening P and I were offered some free tickets to the vagina Monologues. That is a play not some cheap brothel. My mum is on this mailing list for this company that sells theatre tickets and she forwarded the email, I replied and got the tickets, what a hero. So we met in the West End, at Embankment to be precise, and went to the theatre. It was the Players theatre which is a nice small venue, the show was a private showing so it wasn’t too busy, which was really good. When we arrived we were a little early, half an hour, and so we stayed in the bar and had a drink. I didn’t know what to expect from the show as had heard quite a bit about it when it was on before, though wasn’t sure it was my thing, for the obvious reason. The whole show was about vaginas, which when you think about it is quite a feat to talk that long about something. It was unfamiliar territory for me a the last time I saw one was over 40 years ago, and I was using my umbilical cord to abseil out of it that time. But we did have a good time, its a funny show, not something I would have chosen to go and see but was good nonetheless.
Saturday I was at the Salon so that was cool. I started the next Newsletter, which I have to say (as no one else will praise me!) its coming along nicely. I have changed the format and the new one, in my opinion, is cleaner and crisper, looks much nicer. As ever it was fun to be there as I do like the atmosphere there, its a great place to work.
Sunday was exceptionally fun as my Mum and Johnny came over to see us. This time there was no frantic phone calls about ‘I cant find anywhere to park’ as there usually is so that was a pleasant
start to the day. I have to admit, though hate to, that it is great to see them as I love spending time with them, even if they wont kiss the little rat hello. But he did show them his latest trick (it took only 3 days for him to learn the give me your paw trick, such a clever little boy he is) and was his usual well behaved self. P had to spend an eternity showing my mum how to use her Blackberry, again, poor love it must be hard for her as he has only shown her about a thousand times, so that was his morning spent. In the afternoon Johnny took us to our favourite (you know what’s coming Chuckles don’t you?) Chinese, we do like it there. So all in all we had a fantastic day with them and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Hope to see them again soon.

As always a hello to T, she is having a tough time recently and doesn’t deserve it at all, so lets all cheer her up by saying a big hello and we love her, even if she has forgotten my soy milk for the past weeks, but I will suffer and soldier on as usual. Not heard from buzzy either, guess she is busy keeping Duracell in business. Tranny is busy being a tranny slapper!
Love to you all.
